As the mighty Sandbox gears up for its third and biggest alpha season, the metaverse will once again bleed into the physical world. As a result, the famed world builder has set up shop with its first ever IRL pop up in the heart of Hong Kong.
In order to get ordinary folk from the streets of Hong Kong to engage with its ecosystem, the team has launched ‘The Sandbox Alpha 3 Atelier,’ an immersive education facility located on the 5th floor of the K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui. This was created to open up a window to The Sandbox world for those unfamiliar with the platform.
Through its initiative, The Sandbox will showcase its creative content, onboard members to its ecosystem and conduct a series of metaverse workshops, all catering to a wide range of individuals from children and students to adults and corporations. To help them on the way, a number of local design studios have hopped on board. Therefore, seeing the likes of Index Game, PANGU by Pengal, Metalympics and UFO School making their mark at the venue.
Furthermore, as an added incentive, those registering a Sandbox account at the store will stand a chance to win a 1×1 plot of land and an NFT house for their troubles.
“With the opening of The Sandbox Alpha 3 Atelier, we are pleased to welcome an even wider group of users in Hong Kong to explore a truly open metaverse and enjoy a new range of experiences.” – Sebastien Borget – The Sandbox Co-founder
