Creator of disproportionate, bobble-headed collectibles, Funko, has teamed up with ViacomCBS to bring Star Trek-themed NFTs to the platform. Collectors are therefore invited to summon their inner nerd and join the fun. Resistance is futile.

Funko is celebrating the original Star Trek series in style by rendering fan-favourite characters in their own trademark manner. Therefore, collectors can now acquire the likes of Captain Kirk, Mr Spock, Khan and a whole lot more. And consequently, show their support for the enduring franchise.

Star Trek-themed Funko Pop! Characters will arrive via the WAX blockchain at 2PM ET on November 30, and will present 120 individual cards featuring six degrees of rarity. The top two of which, “legendary” and “grail” are redeemable for a genuine real-life physical toy.

Funko cards are purchasable in two pack sizes, with Standard packs including five cards available for $9.99, and Premium packs containing 15 cards coming in at $29.99. Apparently, there’s a “highly illogical” two cents charge for this added luxury, with no benefits indicated for doing so. As is usual with Funko Pop!
