Cross-chain compatibility represents the next big step in the world of NFTs and play-to-earn gaming. Now, Wax.io has supercharged its efforts in a plan to stay ahead of the game.
To enhance the user experience and lower the entry barriers for new users, WAX is developing a method of linking different blockchains. As a result, it intends to build the biggest network of protocols the realm has ever seen. WAX, therefore predicts this will create a grand harmony where all parties concerned will benefit.
For the first step of this journey, WAX is building a highly efficient bridge to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). This conduit will then enable players to trade effortlessly between the two chains regardless of an NFT’s origin. Therefore, representing the beginning of a larger network where blockchains operate together rather than at odds with each other.
WAX intends to showcase this new technology via up-and-coming play-to-earn beat-em-up, Blockchain Brawlers. A forthcoming no-holds-barred wrestling romp built on the WAX blockchain. The first collection of 100 “Founders Edition” NFTs will arrive on the BSC on November 30. Initially, these assets are viewable via the WAX cloud wallet. However, full compatibility will follow in early 2022, allowing the trading of assets between the two chains and importantly, accruing no additional transaction fees for the service.
