Top of its class hardware wallet, Ledger, has teased some nifty upgrades to its portfolio of excellence. The most important of which is full NFT integration.
Speaking at the biannual Web3 developer event, Ledger OP3N, the team made a number of amazing announcements. Firstly, the “Ledger-Life” software is undergoing an NFT friendly transformation. As a result, from early December users can view, send and receive NFTs directly within the app. While initial support is geared to Ethereum, a number of multi-chain options such as Polygon and Tezos will arrive in early 2022.
In addition, the Ledger ecosystem is incorporating support for two of the top NFT marketplaces in the Web3 space. Over the next few months, both FTX and Rarible will see Ledger-Live integration which will allow users to connect their wallets directly through the app and no longer rely on third-party software.
We know, we know. A lot happened at #LedgerOp3n.

That’s not all, Ledger has also announced the imminent arrival of the “Ledger Nano S Plus,” a beefed-up version of their current flagship device featuring a larger, higher quality screen and increased flash memory. However, under the hood is where things start to get interesting as a new fleet of plugins and apps will provide support for both DeFi and NFTs. Unfortunately, fans must wait until early 2022 for that one to arrive.
