If you enjoy NFTs, art and the color blue, I got the perfect spot for you. OpenSea, one of the most successful NFT marketplaces, recently opened an art gallery in Decentraland at -88, 68. The gallery is located on the Southwest side of Vegas City towards the upper left corner of the entire map. The gallery is near the Chateau Santoshi Casino and NFT Plazas Kiosk. OpenSea saw a little over $3B in sales in December alone.
The outside of the gallery is a roman-themed, box-like, blue and turquoise green structure. The entrance has two large doors and open with direct access to the gallery floor. Two large roman columns sandwich the entrance. A large OpenSea logo is displayed directly in front and in-back above the entrance ways.
The inside of the gallery has mini pop-up shops of digital art. There are sixteen in total including Hackatao, Diego Rodriguez and Loopbomp. The floors and ceilings are an identical blue and gray checkered pattern that last throughout the entire build. There are four large and winding staircases flanked by two large plants. There is a showroom directly in the center of the build with a large screen and seats.
I love this structure’s simplicity, uniformity and color scheme. Personally, blue is my favorite color and the blue and gray tiles go really well with the turquoise. There is a ton of potential in this structure beyond holding art showings and screenings. OpenSea could make a huge splash in Decentraland if they held drops events, art fairs, community events and live streaming at their gallery.
