More and more, we are seeing the effects of the fashion industry’s growing relationship with the NFT space. In the past, you would simply buy a fashion piece but now, you can get a digital asset as well. The latest fashion house to get in on the trend is the athleisure brand Alo Yoga, which has announced that buyers of last year’s Aspen collection can claim claim a free ‘Digital Twin’ NFT.

Since the Aspen collection first debuted at New York Fashion Week, it has been a big hit. All 17 pieces from the collection were sold out within a month and those lucky enough to get their hands on them are in for a treat.

Throughout the month of February, buyers who are part of the brand’s loyalty program will receive emails with links to claim NFTs. These NFTs will include 3D renderings of the pieces they have bought as well as real-life perks. These perks include free sessions at the Alo Wellness Club, access to fashion events organized by the brand, and priority access to future collections.

“All of this is exclusive, invite-only to our community,” says Alo Yoga CMO Angelic Vendette, who notes, “We’re not using [NFT] language. We’re using ‘digital certificate of authenticity’ so it feels natural to our community.”
