<p>Spectrum Markets, a
Germany-based securitized derivatives trading provider, saw a record year in
2022 as its order book turnover skyrocketed 147% to €3.33 billion (bn)
during the past year. The trading volume during this period also jumped by 68% from
848 million in 2021 to 1.42 billion. </p><p>The volume came from
almost 3.5 million trades executed in 2022, Spectrum Markets reported on
Tuesday in its full-year trading results shared with Finance Magnates. The trading provider noted that 2022 marked its third full calendar year in business. </p><p>Spectrum Markets’
record performance reflects its quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) growth in 2022. The
pan-European platform’s trading turnover <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/brokers/spectrum-markets-sees188-rise-in-q1-2022-trading-turnover/” target=”_blank” rel=”follow”>jumped 188%</a> to €771 million
during the first quarter and <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/brokers/spectrum-markets-closes-q2-with-250-turnover-jump/” target=”_blank” rel=”follow”>further shot up 14%</a> QoQ to €879 million
during the second quarter. However, the turnover <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/spectrum-markets-q3-2022-turnover-jumps-136/” target=”_blank” rel=”follow”>decreased 5%</a> to €836 million
during the third quarter to regain momentum during the fourth quarter, <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/spectrum-markets-sees-77-uptick-in-q4-2022-turnover/” target=”_blank” rel=”follow”>reaching €842 million</a>.</p><p>Giving a breakdown of
securitized derivatives handled on its platform in 2022, Spectrum noted that
86.9% of the trades were in indices. Other instruments, such as currency pairs (6.8%),
commodities (5%) <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/terms/e/equities/” class=”terms__main-term” id=”d6e02698-4c6b-44dd-ab57-9ff12763325c” target=”_blank”>equities</a> (1.1%) and cryptocurrencies (0.2%) only made up
smaller percentages. In addition, Spectrum Markets pointed out that 38% of trades
executed in 2022 were completed outside the traditional hours (that is, between
17:30 and 9:00 CET).</p><p>Spectrum Markets’ New
Partnerships in 2022 Boost Volume</p><p>Throughout 2022,
Spectrum Markets, which now boasts a presence in Germany, France, Spain, Italy
and five other European countries, signed a number of partnership deals.
These partnerships brought new sources of trading volume to the platform, the firm noted in the financial report. </p><p> Last year, Spectrum Markets entered into <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/terms/c/connectivity/” class=”terms__secondary-term” id=”67c58fee-a85e-483c-8fac-648b94f10aab” target=”_blank”>connectivity</a> deals with SIA, a Nexi Group
subsidiary, and Euronext Securities Milan. Additionally, the group onboarded Equita and
Intermonte, two Italian investment banks, as members of its multilateral
trading facility.</p><p>Furthermore, Spectrum
Markets <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/spectrum-markets-partners-with-socgen-to-offer-new-assets-in-spain-and-scandinavia/” target=”_blank” rel=”follow”>partnered with Societe Generale</a> as a new issuer of
listed securitized derivatives offered in Spain and the Nordic countries. In
May 2022, the securitized derivatives trading provider <a href=”https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/brokers/spectrum-markets-enhances-offering-by-adding-crypto-turbo-warrants/” target=”_blank” rel=”follow”>introduced cryptocurrency derivatives</a> to its clients. In
addition, the firm partnered with iBroker in order to provide Spanish retail investors with access to leveraged instruments on its platform.</p><p>“The past 12 months
