Binance has launched a ChatGPT-powered chatbot called “Sensei,” as seen in an announcement from the exchange on April 24.

The chatbot is intended to help users of the exchange access information that is already on Binance Academy, the company’s blockchain education platform.

Users can access Sensei by clicking on the robot icon on the bottom right-hand corner of any of the company’s Binance Academy pages.

The chatbot, after receiving a prompt, will provide an AI-generated summary and display links to three relevant articles on the Binance Academy website.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao had previously suggested in March that the company could further employ AI. At that time, he suggested that Binance was using AI for customer support and compliance purposes. Binance additionally provides an AI art service called Bicasso that allows users to generate non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Binance currently faces charges from U.S. regulators over certain information provided to users. Notably, U.S. authorities suggested that Binance advised users in personal conversations and in guide pages to use VPNs to circumvent laws.

The novel aspects of ChatGPT and AI tools could see Binance attract further criticism from authorities if it draws upon information in an improper manner.
