In a thrilling announcement for creators, Foundation announced earlier this week that they are now adding a “Collections” feature to the platform.
The new feature will allow creators to deploy their own smart contract, mint NFTs to it, and share it with the world. This means that artists can finally upload a series of artworks that tell a story or have a specific theme, all together in one place.
Creating a collection is straightforward. Simply add your artworks, titles, and descriptions, and mint away. However, be cautious and double check for spelling mistakes, as changes cannot be made once the NFTs are minted.
The platform is also offering artists the opportunity to import existing collection to Foundation, for which you will have to fill out a form here.
“What about gas fees,” we hear you asking. Unfortunately, yes, gas fees still apply for every piece you add to the collection and mint. However, on the bright side, there is no limit to the amount of NFTs you can add. Foundation has hinted at the ability to create your own version of a digital-first exhibition or a fashion show, with more information to be announced at a later stage.
