Gaming goliath, Ubisoft, has opened the floodgates, and now big name gaming NFTs are coming in thick and fast. The latest is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, where one NFT will come with an amazing twist.

Platform developer, GSC Game World, has announced the production of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Metaverse. A place where fans of the franchise can celebrate their post-apocalyptic adventures, and even own a piece of the game. As part of this wider world, GSC will also release a number of game-related NFTs. The holy grail of which is a single token that imparts on its bearer the right to become a genuine in-game NPC. Something that is now referred to as the first-ever “metahuman.”

According to the developers, an auction will take place next month where participants can bid for the prized asset. Then afterwards a cooling period will allow its owner to freely trade it on the secondary market. After this cooling period, however, the ownership is locked, and whoever is in possession has the right to be reproduced in the game. GSC will then invite them to their studios to complete a “scanning procedure,” then work their likeness into the actual launch title. How cool is that?
