The pilgrimage site for dance music enthusiasts around the globe, Tomorrowland, is set to host the first-ever performance by an NFT music artist. Ape Rave Club (ARC) will be performing on one of the biggest dance stages of them all, Tomorrowland’s Mainstage.
The digital primate, who, as you may’ve guessed, is part of the illustrious Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) community, will hit the Tomorrowland Mainstage sometime within Weekend 2 of the event on July 22nd-24th. ARC will perform their digital-come-real world immersive set to an audience of 600,000+, where they will be performing alongside fellow NFT enthusiast Steve Aoki, as well as other sought-after dance names such as Martin Garrix, Alesso, Tiesto, Marshmello, Armin van Buuren, and more.
In an initiative which uses blockchain technology to revolutionize the music industry even further, ARC will also be distributing crypto tokens to fans, which will give them the opportunity to vote on defining decisions throughout ARC’s music journey.
In doing so, and inline with the core ethos of many Web3 projects, the community are granted empowerment, whilst any record labels (if signed to one) will be deprived of any authority. The initiative will also include the release of ARC NFTs, which will feature real-world, one-of-one, and endless methods of fan engagement.
As of now, the music which is set to be featured in ARC’s performance is unbeknownst, however the artist will be releasing fan-influenced content on all traditional streaming services.
