Welcome to another epic round of CryptoArt Sundays, featuring VOLOVISIONS!
VOLOVISIONS aka Oliver Brusca is a visionary artist bridging the realms of the seen and unseen through his incredible talent for colours, imagery, and painting. His focus is on traditional painting as well as digital art, and his artworks express visual information from visionary states, dreams, and out of body experiences.
I bet by now you’re wondering more about who he is and his artworks, so let’s dive in as we always do!
How did you find out about the NFT space, and what attracted you to create your own NFTs?
The word about NFTs has spread all over the online artist communities that I’m a part of and although I didn’t pay much attention to it in the beginning, I recently took the deep dive into researching what is possible with NFTs and the different marketplaces that are currency around.
At first I was just getting to know how the NFT space operates by putting a few pieces on various platforms, and now I am getting excited about the creative potential for NFT art and the story/message that I can start to weave through what I’m offering.
How often do you create?
My creation cycles come in waves. When I am feeling very inspired and activated, I will usually be in an ecstatic state where I’m creating art everyday for weeks or months on end!
At a certain point I can feel that wave shifting and needing some time to rest and re-gather new ideas.
What is your creative process?
My creative process varies quite a bit depending on the medium, but most of my ideas start from imagery in dreams, meditations, and from various out of body experiences. I’ve had quite a visual experience in what I can vaguely put across as realms unseen in our usual state of consciousness.
Are there any CryptoArtists you would love to collaborate with?
There are a lot of traditional painters that I greatly admire and would love to collaborate with (Izzy Ivy, Luke Schroeder, Vajra, Joseph Skala, Seth McMahon) just to name a few.
What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?
It’s hard to say! The honest answer is I have no idea. The direction I would be inspired by, would be to see crypto art allow for a more in depth presentation of art, with words/video/music/imagery all combined together into a cohesive piece.
What are you currently working on?
Currently I have many works in progress going per usual! I have a few large canvas paintings that I’m working to finish up and digitize along with some new sketches that are in the birthing stages which will eventually make their way onto the canvas or digital.
Where can collectors find your work?
I have NFTs available on the following platforms MakersPlace, Foundation, objkt, and my website.
